Feed Our Feathered Friends!

Make this “frosty” bird feeder, that reveals more treats, the longer it is outside.

What you need:

small plastic container

about 3 feet of string

heavy string, fishing line or light rope

grapes, apples

sunflower seeds or other bird food

In a small plastic container add 1 cup of water and then add cut up (ask a parent to help) grapes, apples and some sunflower seeds.  Most importantly add a string with a loop in it that goes around inside the whole length of the container.  Put the container in the freezer until frozen. Then, hang it outside or just place it outside even where birds can get to it.

The birds will get more treats as the ice begins to melt!

You can also take a pine cone from your yard and cover it with peanut butter and then roll it in birdseed and sunflower seeds.  Then hang it outside for your bird friends.
